With this brief but vital announcement, LATCRA says thanks to all the organizations, hundreds of individual donors and volunteers that have allowed us to successfully reach our goal of the Union Army Grand Review re-enactment on November 12, 2011, at the Fort McNair Parade Field, Washington, D.C. The following organizations have supported us during our four year efforts and have helped to make our dream come true: Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation The LATCRA Board of Directors agreed to continue to seek funding for the Lincoln statue to be displayed in Bailey's Crossroads. Potential programs may include an event in the Spring to coincide with the release of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Lincoln. Additional items discussed at the Board of Directors meeting include creation of public programs, creating and filling a post of Executive Director, and continued fundraising.
